Access requirements WLAN

As you can only get access to the university wlan after successfully authenticating (username and password) by a user, you need one of the following access requirements:

• Students and employees of TU Dortmund: UniAccount
• Members of other universities (only applicable if the home institution offers eduroam): Valid access requirement of the home institution
• Guests, invited by chairs/faculties of TU Dortmund: time limited guest account (assigned by employees of the chair/faculty)

Notes on the construction of UniAccount usernames of TU Dortmund

• Employees: One "m" and three letters of the first name as well as four letters of the last name (e. g. mmaxmust for an employee called Max Mustermann)
• Students: "sm" and two letters of the first name as well as four letters of the last name (e. g. smmamust for a student calledMax Mustermann)
• for a connection with "eduroam" you need to use your username and attach "@tu-dortmund.de".
