Camtasia is a software for screen recording and video editing that is made available to all TU Dortmund University employees.

Camtasia is suitable for the professional creation and post-processing of video tutorials, presentations or lectures. A wide range of editing options are available for this purpose. With the integrated screen recorder you can capture your screen, your cursor, your camera, your microphones and your system audio.

You can use the video editor to edit your recordings creatively and professionally. For example, you can add transitions, animations, cursor effects, edit the sound or add text, graphics, quizzes and subtitles.

A free license is available to all employees. The download is available via the order page in the ServicePortal.

  • The DLL@ITMC team offers introductions to the use of Camtasia on request. Minimum number of participants: 6 persons
